Her customer would tell her all the time that she needed to post tutorials o YouTube because her makeup was always perfect and the customers wanted to know how she did it. On December 20th 2011 Jaclyn posted her first makeup tutorial. Since then, Jaclyn has created an empire and has become one of the most popular influencers on YouTube. She has had major collaborations with Morphe cosmetics and Becca. Her tutorials consist of celebrity makeup looks, such as Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian. Jaclyn will be releasing her makeup line later this year or early 2018.

She began posting one to three times a day and gained popularity when she made herself up into characters such as Snow White, Jessica Rabbit, and Edward Scissorhands. She is also one of the first females to make a career on YouTube (Boyde, 2016).
Kandee is considered a pioneer of the YouTube beauty movement as she was one of the first to start vlogging about cosmetics and makeup tutorials and unlike many beauty vloggers, she is over 30 years old.

In 2011 Carli Bybel was currently in her junior year of high school. Her parents had gone through a divorce prior to that year and Carli was having a hard time dealing with her parents being split. She found her love for makeup and beauty and it helped to keep her mind off of everything else. She made business cards and started handing them out to girls in her high school marketing herself as a makeup artist. She would charge girls $25 for a full face of makeup and her friend encouraged her to take her skills to YouTube. She took their advice and that is when her successful YouTube channel was created. Her popularity rose shortly after she made a Megan Fox tutorial which has 4.5 million views to this day. Since 2011, Carli has collaborated with BH cosmetics and created an affordable eyeshadow/highlighter palette.
